Using the Dräger Companion med mobile app, patients can work with their care provider to set up a personalized schedule for breathalyzer tests, if they wish.
This also serves to complement collaboration with the relevant therapists or doctors in a targeted way, as they can view test results via a web application and are thus always kept informed.
The number of daily tests can be adjusted in consultation with therapists or doctors. The app and breathalyzer provide therapists with a constant connection to their patients and allow for discreet monitoring.
Emergency contacts are stored in the app. If a test result is positive or if the user has low confidence in their ability to abstain, the app suggests calling one of their contacts with a single click.
As a supplement to standard treatment, the Dräger Companion med app helps improve relapse prevention through relapse management.

For Dräger Companion med, the team at BAYOOMED, our YOOme partner, developed a cross-platform app using Xamarin Forms. This app connects to external hardware (BLE), specifically the Dräger Companion 4me breathalyzer.
In addition, the BAYOOCARE team assists Dräger with the verification and testing of the app, as well as in the areas of risk management and cybersecurity.
